Congratulations to the new WJMS Cheerleaders! We are excited to begin a new chapter in our school's cheerleading history. This year, for the first time ever, WJMS will have a Competition Cheerleading Team. These girls will train throughout the summer and will compete during the fall at competitions around our region as well as cheering on our Knights in football and basketball. Stay tuned for more information on how you can support and cheer for these amazing athletes!
WJMS has tons of great activities planned for Georgia STEM Day on Friday, May 6th. All students will visit the media center, the gym, and the labs during their Connections classes to explore robotics, circuitry, engineering, coding, 3D printing, rockets, and much more.

Georgia's Get Georgia Reading Campaign is underway. The state's partner, myON, is delivering more than 10,400 free books to computer and mobile devices that you can access 24 hours a day—every day—through Aug. 31. Last year, kids read more then 100,000 books. This year, as you’ll see in the story under “Ready, Set, Read” — the Get Georgia Reading Campaign is challenging Georgia to double that number.
