Food Drive a Success
The WJMS Student Council sponsored a canned food drive to benefit the Statesboro Food Bank during the holiday season. Classes throughout the school began collecting cans in October and had one month to bring in as many as possible. The homeroom who brought in the most canned goods won a pizza party, and the winners include: 1st place: Mrs. Starling (8th) and Mrs. Renfroe (7th), who tied with 112 cans each, 2nd place: Mrs. Carter (8th), who brought in 95 cans, and 3rd place: Coach Rockett (8th) with 57 canned goods. Collectively, the school brought in over 520 cans to donate! Thanks to all who participated.
